Agreement

Terms of use

The agreement between you and Symfo, written to be read. If a sentence here is unclear, write to us before you accept it.

In force since 25 August 2026

The agreement in four lines

The agreement in four lines

  • Symfo runs on your machine, with your AI keys and your credentials.
  • What the agent writes is yours, and so is reviewing it before you ship.
  • The subscription renews on its own until you switch it off, and you cancel whenever you want.
  • Our liability has a limit, written as a number rather than buried in a footnote.

01

What you are accepting

By creating a Symfo account, installing the app or subscribing to a plan, you accept these terms and the privacy policy. If you do not accept them, do not create the account — and if you already did, write to us and we will close it.

You must be 18. If you are subscribing on behalf of a company, you confirm you can sign for it, and “you” in these terms means the company.

TO FILL IN: the legal name, the CNPJ and the address of the company that signs this agreement with you. These terms describe the whole deal, but they do not yet name the company on the other side — without that, this page describes a contract with no second party.

02

What Symfo is

Symfo is an agentic development environment. You describe the outcome and it organises AI agents to get there: it splits the work, runs the command-line tools you already use, and hands back what was done.

The app runs on your machine. It executes commands with your credentials, on your files, with your user’s permissions.

That has a practical consequence: Symfo can read, write and delete files in the directories you open it on, and can run commands that cost money or change real systems. Point it at the projects you want it working on, not at the root of your disk.

03

The AI keys are yours

Symfo does not sell AI tokens and does not sit between you and the provider. You contract Anthropic, OpenAI or whoever you prefer directly, with your key and your invoice. That relationship is between the two of you: price, usage limits, data policy and uptime are theirs, not ours.

The key stays on your machine. It never reaches our servers, and we cannot see it, use it or bill it. What you pay Symfo is the product subscription, separate from what you spend with the AI provider.

Your AI provider’s terms still apply to you. If they block your key, Symfo still opens, but the agents stop working until you sort it out with them.

04

What the agent writes is yours

We claim no rights over your code, your files, or what the agents produce from them. It is yours, and it stays yours after the subscription ends.

Reviewing before you ship is your responsibility. AI agents get things wrong, invent things, and sometimes write code that compiles and is still wrong.

That matters most for anything touching money, other people’s data, or production. Treat the agent’s output like code from a colleague in a hurry: useful, fast, and reviewed before the merge.

05

Your account

You sign in with Google, with GitHub, or with a code sent to your email. There is no Symfo password to leak, which also means whoever reaches your inbox reaches your account. Look after it.

One person, one account. You can use all three doors and land in the same account, as long as the email is the same. Adding a phone number is optional and gives you one more way in.

The subscription is individual. Sharing access with other people, or running several people off one account, is not part of what you subscribed to.

06

Subscription and billing

Creating an account is free. Plans are monthly, annual and lifetime, with the price shown before payment, in the currency you choose, with any applicable tax added at checkout.

Monthly and annual renew on their own at the end of each period, at the plan’s full price, until you switch renewal off. The first-month promotion applies once per customer: cancelling and resubscribing does not bring it back.

Payment is processed by Stripe. Your card details go straight to them and never pass through our servers.

You can cancel whenever you want, in the payment portal. Access runs to the end date of the period you already paid for, and no new charge happens.

Refunds have their own page, with the seven-day window, how to file a request and what happens to your access.

Read the refund policy →

If we change the renewal price, we tell you by email at least 30 days ahead. You can cancel before the change takes effect, and a lifetime plan you already paid for never changes price.

07

What you cannot do

The list is short and holds no surprises:

  • Use Symfo to commit crimes, break into systems that are not yours, or attack other people.
  • Resell, rent or repackage Symfo as your own product.
  • Work around subscription control, or serve several people from one subscription.
  • Attack our infrastructure, or try to extract other customers’ data.

What you build with Symfo is your business, competing products included. The limit is the law and the list above.

08

Uptime and changes to the product

Symfo is a new product and does not offer an SLA yet. We do what we can to keep it up, and the part that runs on your machine keeps working even when our API is down — what stops in those hours is signing in, subscribing and paying.

The product changes. Features arrive, change shape and sometimes leave. If a feature you use is removed, we tell you by email first. If the removal empties out the plan you pay for, you can cancel and get back the unused part of the period.

09

Our liability, and its limit

We answer for what Symfo gets wrong: a charge you should not have paid, a defect in the product, a failure of ours that cost you money directly.

The limit is what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem. If you never paid us anything, the limit is zero — the free product is delivered as it is.

We do not answer for what the agent wrote and you shipped without reviewing, for what your AI provider billed you, or for a command the agent ran in a directory you opened for it. That part is yours because the machine, the credentials and the decision to ship are yours.

Nothing in this section removes what the law does not let us remove. Consumer protection law where you live prevails over any limit written here.

10

Ending the agreement

You can close your account whenever you want by writing to us. Whatever is on your machine stays with you.

We only close an account for breaking the “What you cannot do” section, and we email you saying which rule was broken. If we close one when you broke none, we return the unused part of the period you paid for.

11

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, we email you at least 30 days ahead and change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Symfo after that date means accepting the new version.

If you do not accept a change, cancel before it takes effect. If you are still inside the refund window, you get the full amount back.

12

Law and jurisdiction

These terms follow Brazilian law, and Symfo is operated from Brazil. If you are a consumer somewhere else, the mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in still apply to you, and you can bring a case where you live.

Before any of that, email [email protected]. Almost everything gets settled by email, and faster.

You imagine. The team delivers. One conductor, the right models and every workstream in sight.
